Why do some bookstores put a blank sticker over the UPC on the back of a book?
Question: I noticed some bookstores put a white sticker near the UPC on the back of books, so that you can not scan the UPC code books. Nobody remember why they do it?
The stickers, I am referring to are not those who have a barcode on the property UPC, but hardly just a white sticker (which is very difficult to remove!
Answer: Most of the permanence of the store sells books at a price different from the customs is preset to.
If you scan and then remove the sticker and scan again, you'll see the difference.
