Why do some bookstores put a blank sticker over the UPC on the back of a book?
Question: I noticed some bookstores put a white sticker on the UPC shame on the backs of books, so that you can not scan the books of the UPC code. Does anyone know why they do it?
Answer: Most of all at once the store sells the book at a different price than the sacrifice of the code is preset to.
If you scan and then remove the sticker and scan again, you will see the idiosyncrasy.
