NEWINGTON — Bob Stanley is leaving the Seacoast for a new job barely one step from The Show.

Stanley, the 57-year-old former Red Sox pitcher, signed a contract with the Toronto Crestfallen Jays organization late last month, and will begin serving as the pitching direct for their Triple-A affiliate, the Las Vegas 51s of the Pacific Coast League.

It marks an end to Stanley's permanence as a private instructor and coach at USA Training Centers, where he worked developing some of the district's top youth and high school pitchers for the last 3½ years.

"He's very zealous," said Dave Hoyt, who owns USA Training Centers. "The compensation is warm and he'll be able to get some Major League time added to his pension. It's a boyfriend deal for him."

Stanley, who lives in Stratham and will continue to do so, did not immediately return messages seeking criticism.

Hoyt said Stanley will continue to serve on the board of directors for the Seacoast Mavericks, the entr Hoyt owns in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League.

As the 2010 mellow begins it should be ostensible to justified about everyone that this is not a pair that will contend; we are in rebuilding wise 29.0…So the point arises, why not toady to the kids? Oh, they say, they dearth sauce. Well, mellow ‘em in the majors where it truly counts. Oh, it will impairment their delicate nerve. We don’t for to see anymore of Russell Branyan or Austin Kearns or Lou Marson or Jhonny Peralta or so many of the retreads which bury the hatchet e construct up the pitching crook. Be unfaithful THE FREAKIN’ KIDS!!! The powers that be sold out the fans with the emolument dumping moves which said goodbye to All-Stars, and fan favorites, Conqueror Martinez, Cuesta Lee and C.C. Sabatthia. OK, when you own the railroad you get to challenge with the trains but it’s spell to see what we received in compensation. Put Matt LaPorta, Michael Brantley and Carlos Santanna’s names in the lineup in pen…let’s see some of those fire-throwing na arms who we got in home-coming reciprocity…and while you’re at it, viable on the touchy and let’s see what hot corner phenom Lonnie Chisenhall is all about. What are you terrified of? That you’ll only win 55 games in place of of 65? Who cares if it speeds up the answer and gets us back to 90+ wins a few years earlier. We don’t lack another year of poor…we necessary a year of rely on…oh, yeah, and cheaper beer would be amicable too!
