How hard is elementary differential equations?

Question: I have a professor of stomach-churning and probably teach myself. How can this be hard? And what is the change among elementary differential equations and differential equations modern?
I refer to the class called "elementary differential equations"

I already love Calc I and II.

Question: Is pre-calc far enough or does a man need to have understood calculus before doing Elementary Differential Equations? Are they like quadratics?

Answer: That's in the main covered in pre-calc, although differentiation is fairly hard to hold at first. It's not like quadratics, it's a completely different theory, but of indubitably it includes the methods for solving simpler problems, such as quadratics.
