Keep in mind that f (x) is y. f (x) = x - 5 is the same as the script y = x - 5. There are some definitions to go with f (x), but keep in mind that if you can solve them =... then you can find f (x )=...

Answer: Typically, if you have an f(x) harbour, you are asked to fill in all the x variables with the value given.

find f(x); x=5

f(x)= 6x + 9

You interpret by the following:

f(5)=6(5) + 9 =30 + 9= 39
