icd-9, cpt, hcpcs?

Question: Does anyone remember what the difference between the 2007 coding books ICD9, CPT, and HCPCS, and previous editions? I am starting a medical billing and coding undoubtedly soon, can we use the previous editions, because they are cheaper, or should I just buy the 2007 editions? Thank you!

Answer: I would get in 2006 editions. No codes will be changed, and if, by chance, pressed or diagnostic prodedure you need is not in print in 2006, you may be able to get off the net. I've always used books that were published last year and never had a problem.

ICD-9 and CPT software for PDA?

Question: I am looking for a settled set of reference material so that I can look up ICD-9 codes and CPT codes on my PDA. I have Windows Area PC operating system. Anyone have such experience using a program like this on their PDA? Any mitigate would be greatly appreciated.
